GREEN TREE CORAL, ORANGE TURQUOISE, CARVED WOOD, THAI SILVER
I've used chunks of Green Tree Coral from the deep waters of the Indo-Pacific, orange Turquoise for pops of color, carved wood beads for a deeper tone and Silver discs for flash. There is a small Thai Silver seashell at the end of the strand -the whimsical element. The Thai Silver starfish measures 2" in diameter. Thai Silver is higher in silver content than the 92.5% of Sterling. The Karen and Hilltribe people of Thailand are still making these pieces using the same primitive hand tools that they have used for centuries. I've finished this necklace with a large lobster clasp and silver extension chain. This piece has a wearable length of 19" to 22".
