Gorgeous Stratton compact with the signature scalloped edges of the Princess design which was first marketed in 1954 and continued for about a decade.  The lid shows a colorful pheasant amid blooming peonies on a black enameled background.  The mirror has a frosted edge and is in excellent condition.  The inside does not have a full inner lid, but a ring.  All closures are in excellent condition.  The puff is present and in excellent condition.  The bottom of the powder well shows some age discoloration, but this will be covered with either your replacement powder or powder puff.  The body of the compact is goldtone.  Signed Stratton on the bottom of the compact.  This piece has a diameter of  3.25".
